Environment group reaches out to kin of man found at Dolomite Beach
AN unidentified man who was saved from drowning off the coast of the Manila Dolomite Beach early last Sunday had died, police said, confirming a report to The Manila Times on Wednesday by an environmental group, which found the victim.In a text message to the Times on Wednesday, PMaj. Philipp Ines, Manila Police District (MPD) spokesman, affirmed the claim by the Philippine Mountain Rangers and Wildlife Enforcers (PMRWE).PMRWE, which has monitored the man's condition, posted the news on its Facebook page in the hope that a relative could claim his body."If you have any relevant information that could help us identify this person, kindly report it to us directly. You may also reach us through this number 09053301556," it said.The organization posted pictures of the man on its social media page.In a phone interview with the Times, the PMRWE said the incident happened at about 4 a.m. on Sunday. One of its volunteers, MTN Ranger Marticio Domingo rescued the man and was aided by the Rogue Pilipinas Paddlers Club, which happened to be nearby.The victim was brought to the Manila Hospital by an ambulance at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
