RAISING ONE MILLION TREES: TEAMARMOR JOINS THE PHILIPPINE ARMY-WIDE TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY
The Armor personnel, together with the different civilian stakeholders including the Division Press Corps planted 276 fruit-bearing trees in the Armor Division’s Hardin ng Lunas.
The men and women of the Armor (Pambato) Division joined the Philippine Army-wide Simultaneous Tree Planting Activity today, March 9, 2023, at the Headquarters Armor Division, Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac facilitated by the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, G7 under Lt. Col. Eugene C Flores.
The Armor personnel, together with the different civilian stakeholders including the Division Press Corps planted 276 fruit-bearing trees in the Armor Division’s Hardin ng Lunas.
Major General Facundo O Palafox IV, Division Commander, led the #TeamArmor on the virtual Kick-off Ceremony via VTC at the Headquarters Philippine Army together with the other PA Major Units.
The said activity supports Presidential Marcos' environmental protection and food security programs in consonance with the Philippine Army climate change adaptation by catalyzing Private-Public Partnerships through the Whole-of-Nation Approach.
This activity is in line with the Philippine Army’s 126th Founding Anniversary with the theme Army@126: Strong, United, and Reliable, intended to plant and raise one million fruit-bearing trees nationwide. Also, this event is in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Agriculture (DA), Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), 15th Installation Management Battalion, 522 Engineer Combat Brigade, Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative-Capas (PAFCPIC-Capas), Asian Pacific Christian School Inc. and the Armor Div Press Corps.
