Rotary Club of Makati Northwest Hosts Reproductive Health Seminar & Family Planning Session in Batangas

The Rotary Club of Makati Northwest, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Barangay Talaga East, Mabini, Batangas, will be conducting a Reproductive Health Seminar & Family Planning session on October 5, 2024, at 8:30 AM. The event aims to educate young individuals and teenage mothers on reproductive health, the importance of family planning, and the prevention of unplanned pregnancies.
Target Beneficiaries: The seminar will focus on children of puberty age and teenage mothers, providing them with valuable information and resources to help them make informed decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive health.
Addressing Community Needs: The project aims to tackle two major concerns within the community:
1. Preventing Early Pregnancy and Poverty: By raising awareness on the consequences of early pregnancy, the seminar hopes to reduce the number of young mothers and the cycle of poverty associated with unplanned pregnancies.
2. Curbing Overpopulation and Poverty: With the rapid population increase largely due to unprotected sex and unplanned pregnancies, the seminar will focus on educating participants about safe sex practices and the importance of family planning in alleviating poverty.
Free Supplies and Services: Attendees will receive free contraceptives, hygiene kits, multivitamins, and Vitamin C supplements. In addition, a free meal will be provided to all participants.
Objective: This initiative aims to contribute to the global fight against poverty and overpopulation by equipping the youth and young mothers with knowledge, education, and essential health care resources. By addressing early and unplanned pregnancies, the Rotary Club of Makati Northwest hopes to empower communities and create lasting change for future generations.
This seminar marks another significant step in Rotary’s ongoing mission to improve public health and reduce poverty worldwide.
